JA Programs

The purpose of Junior Achievement is to educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business, and economics to improve the quality of their lives.

JA educates by providing high-quality materials that guide the teacher and volunteer through every step of the program activities.

JA inspires by providing students with business volunteers who bring real-world experience into the classroom.  More importantly, these volunteers become role models who encourage the students to stay in school and do their best.

The Elementary School Program

... to broaden a child's perspective.

The Elementary Programs are designed to show students the relevance of an education to the workplace as well as to prepare them for secondary school and lifelong learning.  Kindergarten through 6th grade students learn concepts and skills at each level that build on those taught in the preceding grades.  A volunteer from the community teaches each class.

The Middle School Program

... emphasis on economics and staying in school.

JA’s Middle Grade Programs stress the importance of an education and staying in school while introducing students to economic concepts and information about the world of business.

The High School Program

... relates economic concepts to
real-life situations.

The High School Programs strive to help students develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to become responsible individuals, involved citizens and productive workers.
